Lieutenant Colonel Daniel J. Levasseur
Lt. Col. Levasseur graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and English. He was commissioned a 2nd lieutenant in May 1995 through the PLC program.
Upon completion of The Basic School in May 1996, 2nd Lt. Levasseur reported to NAS Pensacola, Fla., for Aviation Indoctrination and then to NAS Corpus Christi, Texas, for follow-on flight training. He was then assigned to NAS Whiting Field, Fla., in February 1998 for advance helicopter training and designated a Naval Aviator in August 1998.
1st Lt. Levasseur was assigned to HMT-204 at MCAS New River, N.C., in September 1998 for CH-46E replacement aircrew training. In December 1998, 1st Lt. Levasseur reported to HMM-163 at MCAS El Toro, Calif., and then transferred with the squadron to MCAS Miramar, Calif., in May 1999. During his tour with HMM-163, he served as a schedule writer, Flight Officer, Current Operations Officer and Aviation Safety Officer. He deployed with 15th MEU from August 2001 to March 2002 (OEF) and with 13th MEU from September 2003 to March 2004 (OIF). While still attached to HMM-163, Capt. Levasseur also deployed with HMM-764 as an augment pilot from June to September 2004 (OIF).
In October 2004, Capt. Levasseur was assigned to 1st Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Division in 29 Palms, Calif., where he served as a Forward Air Controller, Battalion Air Officer and Assistant Operations Officer. During his tour, he attended the Tactical Air Control Party course, the MAWTS-1 Air Officer Course and was promoted to the rank of major.
Upon completion of his tour with 1st Tanks in November 2005, Maj. Levasseur was assigned to HMM0365 at MCAS Miramar, Calif. During his tour, he deployed with the 15th MEU to the CENTCOM AOR in support of combat operations from September 2006 to May 2007 and again from May to November 2008. During these deployments he held the billets Assistant Operations Officer and Aircraft Maintenance Officer.
In July 2009, Maj. Levasseur was selected to attend Intermediate Level School at the Naval War College in Newport, R. I., and graduated with distinction in June 2010.
Maj. Levasseur was then assigned to the joint Unmanned Aircraft Systems Center of Excellence (JUAS COE) at Creech AFB, Indian Springs, Nev., in July 2010. During his tour he was the Training Branch Chief and was promoted to his current rank in October 2011. In January 2012, he was reassigned to the Joint Unmanned Aircraft Systems Digital Information Exchange (JUDIE) Joint Test at Nellis AFB, Las Vegas, Nav., and served as Coordinator, Joint Warfighter Advisory Group.
In May 2012, Lt. Col. Levasseur reported to MCAS Miramar to serve his current tour.
Lt. Col. Levasseur's personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal (with Strike Flight numeral 7), the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with three gold stars, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with one gold star.

Sgt. Maj. Karyl J. Sisneros
Sergeant Major
Sgt. Maj. Karyl J. Sisneros enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on 8 December 1986 and attended recruit training at MCRD Parris Island, S.C. Upon completion, she was assigned to Meridian, Miss., where she was assigned to MOS of 6046 Maintenance Administration. Upon completion of school, Sgt. Maj. Sisneros checked into Marine Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron 3 (VMFP-3) at Marine Corps Air Station El Toro, Calif., for duty as an Aircraft Maintenance Administration Clerk.
Sgt. Maj. Sisneros deployed with VMFP-3 to Iwakuni, Japan in 1987 and participated in various exercises and unit deployments. In May 1990, Sgt. Maj. Sisneros was assigned to Marine fighter Attack Squadron 314, (VMFA-314), where she served as an Aircraft Maintenance Administration Clerk. In 1991, Sgt. Maj. Sisneros moved to Marine Aircraft Logistics Squadron 11 (MALS-11) as Power Plants Clerk. In May 1993, Sgt. Maj. Sisneros was assigned to FASOTRAGRUPAC as an instructor for Aircraft Maintenance Administration. Sgt. Maj. Sisneros was transferred to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar with FASOTRAGRUPAC until 1998 when she reported to Parris Island, S.C., for duty as a Drill Instructor and a Series Gunnery Sergeant.
In December of 2001, Sgt. Maj. Sisneros reported to Okinawa, Japan. She was assigned to 1st Marine Aircraft Logistics Squadron 36 (MALS-36). Sgt. Maj. Sisneros worked as a Data Analyst supporting five squadrons and supporting units of 1st Marine Aircraft Wing. She also served as a Squadron Gunnery Sergeant and was on the Commanding General's Inspection Team. Sgt. Maj. Sisneros supported as a Marine Combat Instructor of Water Survival for 3rd Force Service Support Group, 3rd Marine Division and 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing.
In August of 2005, Sgt. Maj. Sisneros was then transferred to 1st Marine Logistics Group, serving as 1st Sergeant for Combat Logistics Company 111 (CLC-111). Sgt. Maj. Sisneros deployed to OIF 5-7.2 with CLC-111. Upon return, she served as Battalion Sergeant Major for Combat Logistics Battalion 1 from April 2007 to July 2007. She was then assigned to Wounded Warrior Battalion West from January 2008 to August 2008.
Sgt. Maj. Sisneros was assigned in August 2008 to Marine Tactical Air Command Squadron 38 (MTACS-38) where she deployed to OIF 8-2 from August 2008 to February 2009 taking over the unit in Al Asad, Iraq. After her return from OIF, she transferred to Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 165 (HMM-165), Marine Aviation Group 16. In May 2009, shedeployed as the ACE Sergeant Major for WestPAC10-1 on the USS Peleliu, supporting the flood relief in Pakistan, anti-piracy supporting the Magellan Star in the Gulf of Aden. Sgt. Maj. Sisneros transitioned with HMM-165 to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 165 (VMM-165) in April 2011. In July 2011, Sgt. Maj. Sisneros transferred to Headquarters Squadron, MCAS Miramar as Sergeant Major.
Her personal awards include Navy Commendation Medal, five Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medals and eight Good Conduct Medals.
